RATIONALE
It is common to have children in care who suffer allergic reactions to certain foods. Since the outcome may be serious, a list of known allergies of specific children should be readily available in areas of food preparation and consumption so that allergic reactions may be avoided.GOOD PRACTICE
- Any lists or procedures should be examined frequently to ensure currency.
- Post a board showing the progressive food introduction for each infant.
